"sometimes the noise and the chaos does not allow us to plan ahead, and there is a gift in relenting that control" ...tattoo this on my forehead so I can see it every morning. I relate to this so much, but I'd be lying if I said that, on occasion, I didn't indulge myself with biting off a big piece of life and figuring out how to chew along the way. Talk about chaos! XD

I totally, completely relate! I think this is why I don't watch TV or shows much. I don't really go out to see movies either. It's all too much. Our nervous systems were not built for that kind of intensity. And it suggests to me that we all have developed a numbness and a tolerance for that sort of intensity, such that it really has to be amped up now, to leave an impact. I think you're in the Right Pl., Cortney. And I'm glad you wrote this piece.
